Sometime around the middle of October, I started getting messages from people askingasking if I was going to offer some sort of GOOD MOVIE Christmas subscription gift option they could grab for the holidays. And it sounded weird to me at first because the idea of giving someone a thing they can’t specifically open with their hands for Christmas feels a little dorky.

But then I had an idea: Let’s make it so that it is something someone can open. And thus: The GOOD MOVIE Christmas Pack.

What is the GOOD MOVIE Christmas Pack?

In addition to a one-year subscription to GOOD MOVIE, it’s a bundle of items that includes:

A random VHS copy of a movie that’s good. (I went to the flea market and bought copies of some movies I like, including but not limited to the ones in the picture.) (They’re all big name movies. You won’t get something you’ve never heard of before.)
A GOOD MOVIE sticker.
A movie-themed trading card from either Terminator 2, Bloodsport, Predator, or Jaws 2. (I fucking cannot believe they made Jaws 2 trading cards, lol.) (Oh, also: It’ll come in a protective sleeve to keep it safe during transit.)
And an official GOOD MOVIE thank you card that has the following message on it: “Hi. Someone who cares about you knows that you love movies. As such, please enjoy this VHS copy of ___________________, as well the other items. Additionally, you also now have full access to GOOD MOVIE, a once-a-week newsletter about movies that are good.”

The GOOD MOVIE Christmas Pack is (obviously) a limited edition thing, and so all the thank you cards will be numbered and signed by me. (I’ll also fill in the blank for each VHS movie.)

How much is the GOOD MOVIE Christmas Pack?

It’s $100.

How do I get it?

Easy. You just send $100 to me either via Venmo (@shea-serrano) or CashApp ($RealSheaSerrano). Once you do, I’ll message you to get the shipping address. And then not so long after that, a package will arrive to you from me.

How does the person I’m gifting the Christmas Pack to get their GOOD MOVIE subscription?

That’s also easy. I’ll issue it from my end whenever you tell me to. If you want them to get it immediately, I’ll issue it now. If you want to keep everything a secret, I’ll wait until Christmas and issue it then.

What if I want the Christmas Pack for myself?

You can do that, too. And, frankly, you should. You deserve it. (This is a good option for anyone who is currently on a free subscription and has been thinking about upgrading to paid.)

What if I want the Christmas Pack for myself but I’m already a paid subscriber?

Well, I suppose you can order the Christmas Pack, keep all the stuff, and gift only the subscription to someone else. That would be pretty funny.

How many GOOD MOVIE Christmas Packs are there?

Only 40. I figure they’re gonna go fast so get your orders in quick. Again: It’s $100 to me either via Venmo (@shea-serrano) or CashApp ($RealSheaSerrano). If you happen to try to send the payment and it gets kicked back to you, that means all the Christmas Packs are gone.
